double motor winch use two drums that require a "loop" of cable. Cable is continuously spooled in and out on the drum system. Because it does not accumulate on a drum you have an unlimited lifting or pulling distance. Also, the maximum force of the winch is available for the entire length of lift or pull. The drawback to using a double drum winch is that it requires at least one return pulley to complete the loop.

There are light weight winches and high speed winches

There are light weight electric winches and high speed winches. These two characteristics are not found together in any commercially available system. I was told the Navy had something like this for towing sonar equipment behind submarines. Apparently it's very fast, but very large. Likewise for aircraft. These were ll hydraulic. Also, there are lots of DC winches : 12volt, 24 volt and 120 volt. The problem here is that generally the lower the voltage, the heavier the system -- for the same mount of work.
Powered winch or the traveller with a small gasoline engine as in an ultra lite aircraft, or else pull the camera back and forth with manpower, or a man powered multiple pulley system.

Double motor winch – Various types of high quality winches were used in the early days of 4×4. It all started with the PTO winch. The point of the PTO was to use the vehicles mechanics to turn the winch drum. Unfortunately, only a handful of AWD vehicles were equipped with such technology and the world of off road winch wasn’t yet prepared for everyday parts fabrications and conversions.

The power is input into the third level enclosed gear reduction box by flexible coupling to lift weight or pull by wire rope and to drive the drum from Low speed shaft end steel key. We use common motor when we need to lift or pull small weight. Conversely, lifting motor is adapted. The common motor can start directly. But the lifting motor starts slowly and stably by cam switch and resistance adjusting. The brake system adopts electromagnetic braking or hydraulic braking.
