There are light weight winches and high speed winches. These two characteristics are not found together in any commercially available system. I was told the Navy had something like this for towing sonar equipment behind submarines. Apparently it's very fast, but very large. Likewise for aircraft. These were ll hydraulic. Also, there are lots of DC winches : 12volt, 24 volt and 120 volt.
This electric lift winch is ideal for inside applications such as pulling wire thru conduits or lifting equipment. Its rope grabbing system will hold a load in position allowing the operator to work safely. The electric motor is activated simply by pulling on the rope. As soon as the operator stops pulling, the motor stops and the drum stops turning, preventing rope damage.
